Forget everything you know about tuna cakes. Simple, cheesy and held together with hearty stuffing, these'll win over even those determined not to like seafood.

THIS WAS Awesome!!! I used 6 oz fresh chopped lobster meat and a 6 oz can of crab meat and they were to die for!!!! I would advise that you shape them into patties to begin with (rather than a ball and "gently" smooshing them down) because they did crack sometimes.
My husband loved these. He couldn't stop talking about them. I am not a big fan of tuna, so I thought they were just okay.
These are so good. The only things I changed is I make half the recipe(makes 4 cakes), I don't add the shredded carrot, and I add whatever kind of shredded cheese I have on hand. I make thses all the time. I even made these on our family vacation last summer. Everyone loved them and asked for the recipe.
So easy! So quick! We left out the carrots. Made 6 large cakes. Even the 4 and 5 year olds loved them.
It was ok.I am not sure if I would make them again. I know my mom loved them! It was salty.I am not allow to have too much salt. You get plenty of servings. And its great to make ahead of time.
Surprisingly really good. I like tuna fish, but never thought I would like these. My hubby requests these often and I didnt know he even ate tuna fish.
It was great. I made the patties by hand and put it in the refrigerator for 10 mins, then cooked, simply great.
The tuna cakes were very simple to prepare and very tasty!!! Definitely a dish for tuna lovers!!
WONDERFUL BASIC RECIPE! You can make it almost any way you prefer - with any spices and make it your own! I have been making this for years and I don't think I've made it the same way twice. I have been baking them in a 350-375 oven lately and adding one egg to keep them together. Still delicious! Experiment with different Stove Top Dressing mixes to find the flavor you like too! enJOY!
saw that several people have trouble flipping them- i learned this trick off of tv ...heat your pan first then add your spray oil- hot pan , cold oil means non stick.hope this helps
