my husband always raves about fish tacos in Pasadena, CA and was never able to find any in IL that came close. I made these, substituting chipotle chile seasoning powder as I was unable to find the other. He LOVES THEM!!! We will definitely make them again.
These were very good. I only had hot bbq, so mine were a bit too spicy. I also subbed lettuce for the cabbage. The next time I will make sure to have the correct ingredients and it will be a 5-star recipe I am sure. I enjoyed it out of the taco and served plated.
Really good when you add ranch dressing and guacamole to it.
My husband and in-laws really loved these tacos. One of the best recipes I've tried on The flavors are great- and I just used regular chili powder and a bit of smoked paprika as well. The cabbage mixture is wonderful with the spicy mustard, italian dressing and sugar. You have to try this if you love fish tacos!
This was absolutely great! I just finished eating & am so full & fulfilled! I used regular chili powder instead of ancho. I also used shredded lettuce instead of cabbage. I cooked black beans on the side. Yummy!!! I may try marinating my tilapia in the barbeque mixture a little longer or maybe even over night next time.
I used cod instead of tilapia (all I had) and I think next time I'm going to either stick with the recipe or use mahi mahi...the sauce was a little bland so I may try and give it more flavor.
Delicious! I used regular chili powder instead of the ancho and added lime juice. Next time I think I will substitute cod for the tilapia but thats personal preference. Served with black beans and homemade tortilla chips and guacamole. Definitely a keeper!
love the crunchiness of the taco shells and the heat from the peppers added a little "lime" sprtiz to my talapia excellent
