Cheesy Chicken & Salsa Skillet

Salsa is the key to making a quick sauce with lots of flavor. Try it in this cheesy pasta and chicken breast skillet dish.

What You Need

cups multi-grain penne pasta, uncooked

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

1-1/4

cups TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

cup frozen corn, thawed

large green pepper, cut into strips

cup KRAFT Mexican Style 2% Milk Finely Shredded Four Cheese

Make It

COOK pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.

MEANWHILE, heat large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 2 min. Stir in salsa, corn and peppers. Bring to boil. Simmer on medium-low heat 10 min. or until chicken is done, stirring occasionally.

DRAIN pasta. Add to chicken mixture; mix lightly. Top with cheese. Remove from heat; cover. Let stand 1 min. or until cheese is melted.

This is SO YUMMY! I used a spicier salsa to add more of a kick, and lemme tell you- The leftovers are still yummy a couple days afterwards! A definite do-over!

I preseasoned the chicken w/a little salt, pepper and garlic powder before cooking. I subbed in some Mexicorn (corn w/green & red diced peppers) since we had no frozen corn nor fresh green peppers on hand. I also used tricolor rotini pasta to be more appealing for our toddler. It was easy and delicious.

Loved it, It was very easy to make. I also added some things to make it my own, such as a little bit of chili powder, taco bell taco seasoning a little bit of water and sizzled it all together. To top it off at the end when ready to serve you can crunch up some tortilla chips on top of the cheese!! Great and my family loved it. I would make this again.

Quick, Simple, and the family loved it. I added a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies. And a bag of the stir fry peppers and onions.

This was a wonderful meal, ready in minutes. My family loved it and I will be adding it to my recipe box. It had lots of flavor and the creaminess of the cheese off-set the spiciness of the salsa. Thank you Kraft for another great dinner

I have made this same recipe for 10 years... only with 2 cups of minute rice instead of the noodles. It is a family favorite, and now the noodles made it a brand new dish! Thanks!
