This is probably the best chili I have ever made; will definitely remake this dish.
I really liked this. It was easy to make and tasted great!
Ok, I used 2lbs of meat which required another 16 oz can of tomato sauce, bit other than that it was great! I served it with honey cornbread muffins on the side with cour cream and cheese! Very good! Will be my chili recipe from now on!
Love this recipe and will most certainly make this again. I did not put corn in but I did add green pepper. I served this on top of mashed potatoes and it was a perfect meal for a fall like day.
This will be our main chili recipe from now on! It was great and the whole family loved it - even with the corn - which I thought was going to be a problem with my husband and my picky son!
I substituted chipotle pepper chili powder for the regular chili powder - that gave it a little kick and some nice flavor.
Yum! I somehow overlooked the tomato sauce ingredient when I was out shopping. I only had a 4oz container of tomato sauce when I tried to make this. I used that and threw in some meat flavored spaghetti sauce to give it the 16oz required. It didn't seem to make a difference because it was tasty. I also used extra corn and a large onion.
Superb for the effort.will make again.
I made this chili last night but cooked it on the stove top for approximately 1- 1/2 hrs. I didn't have frozen corn so I used can corn instead and kept the juice. It was very good but lacking a bit of something. Next time I make it, I will use more chili powder, medium salsa, and pinto beans. One reviewer used beer, Mmmmm I might just add some along with a touch of brown sugar. My family enjoyed it.
I added 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 bottle of beer, some Worcestershire sauce and cumin, and also doubled the chili powder. Everybody liked it. Great easy weeknight meal.
