Way better than the box version I tried, lol. Only 4 stars because I'm not a biscuit person.
My kids and I loved this!! Instead of the biscuit mix, I used crescent roll dough, torn in pieces and layer across the top. I baked without the crescent rolls for 20min, then put the crescent roll dough on and baked for 15min more....perfect!! My 9yr old son already asked when I was making this again?! A terrific, quick and delicious meal!
My family loved this.... A different twist on chicken pot pie! I have a super hungry son and hubby so I doubled the receipe and used bisquik instead and the 9by13 pot is empty!!! Super easy! Veggies! Yummy!
This is soooo good....I did season the chicken so that added a little extra flavor
Yummy comfort food!
Great stand-by recipe, everything keeps in the pantry (except for the veggies, frozen is better than canned). I use a 12.5 oz can of chicken breast and bisquick instead. I don't usually go for the canned chicken, but that brine flavor goes away when baked, I think. Some may like to add more seasoning. I've found it makes 3 adult servings, if this is all you have for dinner. Also, I've doubled the veggies at the cost of it being less saucy, but its still fine.
i put my own spin on it and cooked the chicken w/ onion/garlic, a pack of mixed frozen veggies in butter (gb's, edamame, corn and carrots), cream o chix and sour cream with about a half can of chicken broth in a skillet. pour in the baking dish and eyeballed the biscuit mixture with some cheese and marjoram (don't have rosemary). plan on putting some butter w/ garlic powder on top of biscuits when out of oven. cook until biscuits done
Made this in a 9x9 because I knew it wouldn't fit in a 8x8. After 25 mins, biscuits were done and sides were done, but middle was still cool. Had to microwave individual portions to get to right temp. And the flavor was not worth the effort. Not very good at all.
I added garlic and Mrs. Dash seasoning to the chicken & veges. I also added rosemary to the biscuit mix. I doubled the biscuit mix because it wasn't nearly enough. I sprinkled sharp cheddar cheese on top of the biscuits the last 10 mins of baking. The great thing about this recipe is that's extremely versatile!
Very good
