I was out of ideas for dinner tonight and had everything in the pantry and freezer. I added some chopped onion and red bell peppers along with some dry basil and oregano, as well as omitting some of the water so it was thicker. Delicious!

These were not too shabby! The main item I would change next time is I would not add the 1 cup of water; my sauce came out quite runny. I used generic brand frozen Italian-style meatballs, a canned Garlic & Herb spaghetti sauce, and the only things I added were a few dashes of salt n pepper and a pinch of sugar. I recommend not using a large sub bun unless you are using large meatballs - mine were a bit too small, so I cut the buns in half and then it was just fine. I didn't care for the mozzarella too much, but it wasn't bad. I did add crushed red pepper for a little punch from a suggestion & that made it really good. Overall, it was so easy to make and tasted great!

I had this at a family member house and I will be making it at my house. Everybody really enjoy the flavors of this sandwich.

So easy to make and delicious!! I'm not much of a meatball fan, but I had seconds! Would be a great dish for large groups.

Such an easy weeknight meal! For a family it is affordable and my daughter loved it! I also added in a jar of mushrooms and it was delicious!
