Buckeye Bars

My girlfriend at work made these and brought them to share and they were so good....I loved them.....

These were so easy to make!! They are very yummy!!

I disagree with "LittleBuckeye01" to an extent. Here's why: I make Buckeyes straight up pure peanut butter and powdered sugar with chocolate...that's it. They didn't taste EXACTLY like a Buckeye, which is where I agree. HOWEVER, this recipe, seriously, took me NO MORE than 15 minutes to do. It was one of the fastest recipes I've ever completed...and of course the setting time is 2 hours...but that's nothing. It is a very simple recipe, and it got rave reviews from those whom I served it to. In fact, at least 5 people asked me for the recipe. This is now a staple in my repertoire. OH, and the chocolate stuff on the top.. fabulous!!! I may use that idea for cakes and brownie "frosting".

Ours turned out crumbly and tasted like a pile of sugar.I make buckeye candies and thought this was a great idea.Making the candy is so time consuming.I will make this again, I like the ease of it,but I will be modifying the recipe quite a bit to taste more like the traditional buckeye candy and to have a better texture.

I made this recipe the first time exactly by the recipe and they were really good....I made it again, added 1/4 cup more PB and cut the cool whip to 1/4 of a container and they were fabulous, like a peanut butter cup but better. Everyone loved them both times and people asked for the recipe. Will make again and again.

This recipe was so easy to make and it was delicious. I plan to double the recipe the next time I make it.

I cant ever rate a dessert recipe I am diabetic.... desserts don't exist in my world

I've made this recipe 2 times and I doubled the recipe both times.My local 911 dispatchers TOTALLY loved it!! I'm gonna make them for Christmas gifts this year..
