Taco Soup

Veggies and beef get a little heat and a lot of flavor with less than half an hour on the stove. Top with cheese and let it melt in, then add sour cream for a cool finish.

What You Need

lb. extra-lean ground beef

onion, chopped

cans (15.5 oz. each) mild chili beans

can (14.5 oz.) whole tomatoes, undrained

can (14.25 oz.) corn, undrained

can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cups water

1-1/2

cups KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Make It

BROWN meat with onions in large saucepan; drain. Return meat mixture to pan.

ADD all remaining ingredients except cheese; stir, breaking up tomatoes with spoon. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.

My family loves this recipe! It makes a huge pot of taco soup (or basically chili), so we have plenty for leftovers which is always nice. I sometimes add in extra water in the leftovers to make it more soupy and less like chili. It tastes extra delicious with Fritos sprinkled on top!

This is absolutely delicious. Tasty, filling and even great left over. I've tweaked it a little because we like it thicker like chili than soup so I leave out the water. I just add an extra can of diced tomatoes. Tastes great with either chili or taco seasoning.

Delicious!!! I made with pinto beans, black beans and light red kidney beans instead of chili beans. The last time I made it I used chicken instead of beef. SO-O-O good! It's a keeper!

This so qucik & easy. & it tastes great. I serve it with tortilla chips & a dollop of sour cream...yum!

I only used 2 cans of chili beans and a little less water to make the soup thicker. Also added creamed corn and an additional tablespoon of cumin and teaspoon of salt. It was easy and delicious.
