I followed this recipe exactly the first time, it was very good. BUT, the second time I used hot chili beans instead of mild and hot taco mix instead of regular, and was PERFECT!! Using ground turkey is a great option also.

Okay, I subbed the ground beef with turkey to cut down on the chol. Whole tomatoes was waste, diced may have been better. Low fat or no fat sour cream would have been even better. Too much sodium for us. It isn't something we would do again. For a large family is probably works.

This is like my mother in laws recipe. Instead of using water, use beef broth and add a small can of green chiles.

This recipe was so good, it's a lot like chili. I used one can of chili beans and one can of black beans and topped with fritos cheese and sour cream. So good!

So simple & sooo delicious! Hubby and I loved it. And it's really diet friendly as well. I served it with the cheese on top along with tortilla strips....would be great with a little dollop of sour cream as well. We will definitely be adding this to our regular meal rotation.
