Way clever: hot dog buns cut in thirds become mini sliders. Even more clever, you portion the beef, add the cheese and bake. No flipping! Watch our video to see how it's more

We love this recipe, however we always use the little dinner rolls for buns. They hold great for anything extra you want to put on your burgers.
these were great! I made them a little different. I did the hamburger mixture and cooked little patties on the george foreman to get out a lot of the grease from the burgers and then I put the burgers together just like regular ones and added extra mustard & ketchup since some drained out when cooking. I didn't have lean meat and I figured doing them in the oven would make the buns and everything really mushy. They turn out wonderful.
We used this recipe for my daughter's b-day party. It was a hit with all. My only suggestion to help with buns not getting soggy was to cook the meat before hand in a cookie sheet. Then just cut into perfect size and assemble the rest of the recipe. This was nice and easy!
My family of picky eaters loves when I make these! They are delicious. My suggestions to make them less soggy is to put the TOP of the buns down (not the bottoms) since they are thicker and to shape the meat into little patties, rather than press the meat into the bun. Also I don't use pickles, that might make a difference too. When served with fries and a salad there is enough of these burgers for leftovers the next day. Great recipe!!
I tried this recipe but about half of the bottom buns got soggy.
It's was really good, but the bottom buns did get soggy from the meat
These cheeseburgers reminded me so much of White Castle burgers. I loved them and so did my boys! They were so simple to make, which definitely makes these a new addition to our dinner list! I plan to try them with ground turkey next time to make them a little healthier, these are NOT healthy, but taste so good that I easily ate my fill!
The first time I made this recipe, everything turned out super yummy. But the second time, the meat wasn't entirely cooked all the way. It could have been my geriatric oven, but despite the uncooked meat fiasco the second time, I would definitely attempt at making them again.
great for pick-nicks, super bowl parties or just for movie nights with friends. my friends and kids loved it so much its now a tradition!!!
Buns got soggy. Hamburgers themselves were good, however. I will make them again cooking the hamburgers and buns separately.
