Did not read reviews prior to making but thought it sounded bland so I browned the meat with chopped onions, added cayenne pepper, garlic, black pepper and a bit of salt. We loved it. Next time we will try putting it into flour tortilla's topped with salsa a sour cream.

I would make it again, I followed some of the variations and my husband LOVED it. I added the taco seasoning to the meat and also I added a can of black beans to make it go a little farther because we are big on leftovers for lunch. Pretty delish for being so simple!

When I read the other reviews of possibly tasting bland, I substituted the can of green chilies and tomatoes, with 4.5 oz can of green chopped chilies (undrained) and 14.5 oz of diced tomatoes (undrained), plus 1 cup of salsa and 1/2 teaspoon of cumin. Loved it! A great way to use the over-abundance of green peppers at the end of the growing season in the garden.

This recipe is just as good left-over (we froze it and reheated it a few weeks later). Will definitely make again!

Absolutely loved this recipe! Very easy to make. It was like stuffed peppers in a skillet with a kick! I did add a small can of tomato sauce. Well make again. Great for leftovers!

I agree with the other reviews that it needs more flavor. The overall concept is good but it is definatley bland. Maybe some taco seasoning or something on the meat to add more flavor.
