This is really fresh and delicious! This is the second time i made it! Next time, I'm going to cook the chicken in taco seasoning and add black beans!!
I substituted leftover turkey for the chicken, but otherwise made the recipe as is. It was awkward to spread the sour cream, and I ended up mixing it in with the meat layer. I thought it could use some more zip, but the family liked it fine.
I made this recipe for my family...and WE LOVED IT!!! It was DELICIOUS and has became a regular in my house!! I used pineapple mango salsa instead of regular and it tasted SO GOOD!!!
My family doesn't like onions, so I used taco sauce instead. I also spread a little taco sauce on the bottom of the baking dish so the tortillas on the bottom wouldn't dry out. This is delicious!
This dish was excellent, but I would highly recommend an adjustment: add 1 - cans cream of chicken soup to the sour cream (stir until smooth), I also added a handful or two of Rotel tomotoes and green chilis, when adding this layer use liberally (this helps keep the dish from drying out and adds a great kick of flavor). I also suggest using lots of cheese. I have made this several times, and have enjoyed it everytime - AND it re-heats well!! ENJOY!
very good. I sometimes add black beans to the mixture
Absolutely delicious! Family really enjoyed it. The flavors blend together for a fabulous Tex-Mex dish!
It was excellent and the whole family loved it! Prep time was brief and it was delicious!
I added several cloves of chopped garlic to the onions and pepper sautee. I also added 8 ounces of fire-roasted green chilis to the salsa. Using medium hot salsa really made it yummy. We wiil have this again!
I happened to see the receipe as I was shopping for cheese and deceide to get the ingredients to make it. I used wheat tortillas and light sour cream - it turned out very good!
