it was actually better then i expected. Not to mention it was a fast and easy meal to make, and it only created a small mess. It was worth the time and the kids loved it!
I made this recipe last night and after reading all the reviews I did change it up quite a bit. I used ground turkey vs. ground beef, enchilada sauce vs. tomato sauce, taco seasonsing vs chili powder and rotel vs. chopped tomatos. It turned out so good and it really was so easy to make
added rotel tomatoes/green chili for more was great..husband loved it..i may try adding enchilada sauce next time for a spin on it.
Wasn't crazy about how the hamburger turned out being microwaved, but the casserole overall was good.
Easy and good. We like it hot, so instead of Chili Powder, we used ground chipotle and then put salsa and sour cream on top.
I made this knowing I would change it some, I didn't use the microwave, just don't care for microwave cooking. Cooked beef & onion on stovetop, added other ingredients as called for,I also added 1 teaspoon cumin and a couple pinches of cinnamon and simmered until thickened. I could taste the cinnamon so next time I will use one pinch. I baked this in a 350 degree oven, covered loosely with foil, for about 20 minutes, and it was very tasty. I gave 4 stars because without the extra spices I think it would be bland.
The tortillas were a little mushy
My family loved this! I liked how easy it was to prepare. Terrific on hot, busy days. I'll definitely be making it again.
I have made this according to the directions and we really liked it. The ground beef does come out a little strange from the microwave so I have made it stove top instead. Tonight, however, I didn't have any ground beef so I just used refried beans. It was SO delicious with the beans...just like cheesy enchiladas with creamy beans. It was really, really good. Also...I used enchilada sauce tonight instead of the chili powder etc... It worked out great but we only needed have a can.
Changed this a bit - used whole grain tortillas, extra lean meat, Kraft fat free shredded cheese, fat free sour cream and more chili seasoning. Layered it in a casserole dish and baked at 375 for about 10 minutes. My family loved it.
