What You Need

NILLA Wafers, divided

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided

pkg. (3.9 oz. each) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding

cups plus 2 Tbsp. cold milk, divided

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup fresh raspberries

Make It

step 1

STAND 16 wafers around inside edge of 9-inch round pan lined with plastic wrap. Melt 3 oz. chocolate as directed on package.

step 2

BEAT pudding mixes and 2 cups milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Add melted chocolate; mix well. Stir in 1 cup COOL WHIP; pour into prepared pan.

step 3

BEAT cream cheese, sugar and remaining milk with mixer until blended. Stir in 1 cup of the remaining COOL WHIP; spread over pudding. Top with remaining wafers. Refrigerate 3 hours.

step 4

SHAVE remaining chocolate into curls. Invert torte onto plate; remove plastic wrap. Top torte with remaining COOL WHIP, berries and chocolate curls.

How to Make Chocolate Curls

Warm chocolate by microwaving it, unwrapped, on HIGH for a few seconds or just until you can smudge the chocolate with your thumb. Hold the chocolate steadily and draw a vegetable peeler slowly over flat bottom of chocolate, allowing a thin layer of chocolate to curl as it is peeled off the bottom to make long, delicate curls. Or to make shorter curls, use the same technique using the narrow side of the chocolate.

How to Soften Cream Cheese

Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

I made this for christmas to take to a house. It was easy to make, looked wonderful and tasted great I would recomend. the only thing was that the nilla waffers were not crunchy

It's a really great looking dessert that didn't take much time or effort to make. We all enjoyed it (I would have liked a stronger raspberry "punch"). Unlike some others here, I liked the results of the cookies. Kind of like a crumbled cookie crust, but easier and better looking. I also, liked that it was easy to transport in the pan to the gathering and easier to store in a crowded fridge because it was still protected by the pan. The final steps (turning it onto a platter and topping it) were easy to do right be serving.

This recipe got rave reviews from the family. Our grocery store was out of baker's chocolate at the time so I used some chocolate icing instead. It didn't set quite as well but was still delicious. I also topped with crushed peppermint in place of the raspberries to go along with the holiday season. Can't wait to make again!

I do not know what happened. We followed the recepie and the pudding came out too tick and sticky. Is there another thing we had to do with the pudding? because we had to add more milk than the one stated. We did not liked it and it has to be consumed all the same day or the cookies will get soggy. We will not make it again.

This was a crowd pleaser at a potluck. This recipe is fairly easy to prepare. It takes a bit of patience to get all the wafers to stand on the side of the pan in the plastic wrap. But once I poured in the pudding mixture it was easier to ensure all wafers were standing. I substitued chocolate chips for the chocolate curls. The taste was very smooth and rich. I will definately be making this one again.
