I really enjoyed this comfort dish but I did alter the recipe. I topped it with homemade garlic mashed potatoes and I seasoned the beef while browning. I gradually added about 3+ cups of gravy to the skillet and allowed it to thicken & reduce. It gave the dish a lot of richness & flavor. Looked really cute and was a great Halloween dinner!

This was so easy to make. A great comfort dish. My kids loved the ghosts so much, they felt bad for eating them!!

My family really liked this meal. It was fun! I did add Worchestershire sauce like others suggested & I didn't have instant flakes so I used my potato pearls & made the serving amount that I wanted & then added the cream cheese & parmesan. It was a hit!

This recipe is so cute!!!! My family really enjoyed the little ghosts. The vegetable meat mixture is good but I added worcestershire sauce to give it more flavor. Love this definitely a crowd pleaser!

This was such a fun dish! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the meat mixture was a little bland at first. I added a little bit of worcestershire sauce and some ketchup and grated a small onion into the meat. That really helped the taste. I will definitely make this again.

This is a fun recipe. The only reason that I did not give it a 5th star was because I think that there needs to be more gravy. Also, I threw the veggies into the meat and gravy mixture and let them cook in there rather than separately...too many dishes. However, I'd gladly dirty a pan to make the potatoes on the stove top, I really had to mess with them to get them the right consistency when following this recipe. HUGE wow factor. Love Halloween recipes. I will make this again!

Normally I'm not a huge fan of shepherd's pie but this one was fantastic. I made boxed mashed potatoes according to the package directions instead of the recipe because my husband doesn't like cream cheese. He loved the end result! The cute little ghosts made it look especially appetizing.

I altered this recipe by cooking the ground beef with a small chopped onion. I also added salt, pepper and garlic powder to the beef & vegetable mix. I used butter & herb flavored instant potato flakes as well. Good recipe that I would make again using same additions.
