Chocolate-Orange Layer Cake

The hint of orange flavor in the cream cheese frosting is a perfect complement to this melt-in-your-mouth glazed chocolate cake.

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

Tbsp. butter, softened

cups powdered sugar

Tbsp. orange zest

drops orange food coloring

baked chocolate cake layers (8 inch), cooled

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/2

of 8-oz. tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (Do not thaw.)

Make It

BEAT first 5 ingredients with mixer until blended.

CUT each cake horizontally into 2 layers. Stack on plate, spreading 3/4 cup frosting between each layer. Frost top and side with remaining frosting.

MICROWAVE chocolate and COOL WHIP in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after each minute. Cool 15 min.; spread over top of cake, allowing excess to drizzle down side. Keep refrigerated.

I made this for the first time for my co workers. What a hit!! Many of the women asked me for the recipe. It is delicious! So moist and flavorful. The orange zest really adds the best flavor to this recipe. I used Devils Food cake mix. I am making this cake again very soon. Thanks Kraft
