What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix

pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

eggs

2/3

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

2/3

cup water

1/2

cup oil

cup packed brown sugar

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans

tsp. powdered sugar

Enjoy serving MAXWELL HOUSE coffee with this delicious recipe.

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BEAT first 6 ingredients with mixer until blended. Add brown sugar and nuts; mix well.

POUR into 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan; invert onto wire rack. Remove pan; cool cake completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.

I have made this cake 3 times. Each one was great! Substituted Lemon pudding once, then used orange extract for another. My family loved them all. I love that it is so easy to make. Will be a favorite to make for church gatherings! :)

I am not sure why this recipe has such great reviews. I made this cake and was dissapointed. I had high hopes after seeing it was rated so high but to me this tasted the same as a plain cake mix, will not make this again.

I first found this recipe about 2 months ago and since I've made it about 10 times or more. I have made several of them for church gatherings and numerous ones for home. There is never any left and it is one of my husbands favorites. Very good, very easy and very inexpensive.

I HAVE BAKED THIS CAKE THREE TIMES AND EACH TIME SOMEONE NEEDS THE RECIPE. EVERYONE LOVES IT AND ESPECIALLY MY HUSBAND WHO SELDOM SAYS HE LIKES SOMETHING SWEET. THAT IS WHY I KNEW IT WAS A WINNER. I DEFINITELY GIVE IT 5 STARS.

I found this recipe in a book in the last couple of months and I have made it several times. IT IS GREAT ! The best cake I have made in a very long time. If you like moist, delicious cakes, this one is for you.

This cake is easy and very good. I shared it with neighbors and family and everyone wanted the recipe. I especially like the crisp crust when you put the sugar in the pan before the batter!
