We made this for Easter and were disappointed. There was to much onion and they were soupy even after extra cooking time. No one really liked them. If I made them again, I would chop up less onion and mix it in with the potatoes. I would also cook them longer.

Easy to make but was drier than I prefer. Made it for Christmas dinner and was disappointed, family thought it was just "ok",probably will not make again.

I loved it. I had to change some items because I didn't have exactly what was needed. Used regular cream cheese. Put in chives and onion powder. Used only Monterey Jack cheese at end. It turned out fantastic!!!! Will definitely make again.

This is delicious, but in no way does it make 18 servings!

I made this recipe just a bid different. I crumbled the bacon, reduced the liquid to 1/3 to 1/2 of recipe and used hashbrowns. Excellent and very easy to through together.

This was awesome! I think using Yukon Gold potatoes is what made this dish superb! I added cheddar cheese between the layers and season salt. We are a family of four so I halfed the recipe and it was more than enough. Will make this again!

While it does take some time, this recipe is so worth it. Now, we do omit the onion and substitute onion powder and we use Extra Sharp white cheddar by another brand instead of the recommended cheese.

I too was very disappointed by the amount of liquid in the casserole. I used baby Yukon golds instead and the cooking time was right on.
