This Receipe was quick and easy to make however we all agreed that the stove top topping made it too mushy. The flavor was there. If I had to make this again I would place the chicken breast and all the ingrediences except the cheese in a glass dish. Cover with with foil and bake. Maybe leave the foil off maybe 10 or 15 min.or longer before it is done. Hopefully this will make the stove top topping crunchy. Then when completed I would renove the dish and sprinkle the cheese on it and let it rest for 5 minutes as indicated. In my opinion the stove top should be crunchy not mushy.
A very easy and tasty last minute meal to throw together. I've made it a couple times & everyone enjoyed it. I think I would change it up a bit next time to make it different by using cheddar and a different seasoning other than basil.
So quick and easy using ingredience on hand. Might experiment next time by adding asparagus spears, broccoli or green beans for a complete dinner package.
Very bland. I added some italian seasoning and topped with salsa. Perfect!
