This is so yummy and simple! You can mix it up and try new things too! I've used ground turkey meat to make it leaner and season the meat with a taco seasoning packet.. I like it when I add refried beans inside, and I've also used black beans. Top it with sour cream or whatever you want! My husband asks for this quite often!

I had this in my recipe box for ages and i finally made it last night,It was a huge hit with my family. I took the suggestions of others and added retried beans to the meat mixture. Served it with a salad. Delish!

It was too dry. And lacking flavor.

I made this tonight, HUGE hit with my kids (who are picky), and they want me to make it again. I added refried beans, chopped mushrooms, green chiles, fire roasted corn salsa, and a little garlic. AMAZING! Thx for the great dinner!!

Made this on the weekend and it was so easy to make and very little to clean up. I bought the uncooked pie shell and it worked out great. Shared the recipe with everyone at work. Big thumbs up!

My mother in law has never complicated a dish I've made so much! Definitely a keeper. I also added taco seasoning and refried beans. Big hit with both kids and adults!

This one's a keeper! I substituted extra hot Rotel for the salsa and made my own pie crusts. Yummy!

This was absolutely wonderful and extremely easy. I browned the bottom crust a little first and I spread refried beans on the bottom and then put taco meat (used taco seasoning) on top along with the cheese and my home-made salsa and then after it was done, I topped it off with some more cheese, homemade salsa, fresh garden tomatoes and chives. My family went nuts for it.
