Made this and added a couple of items based on the comments from other reviews. Added a ¼ cup taco seasoning to the ground beef. After I drained the beef, I added about 1 cup of chopped onions along with the salsa cooked it another 5 minutes on low heat. Coated the bottom of the pie crust with refried beans with mild green chilies. Cooked it on a pizza stone , didn’t have to cook it 25 minutes or the crust would have burned, only had to cook it 20 minutes. The last 5 minutes, I covered the top of the empanada with more cheese and let it melt. Served it with sour cream and jalapenos. My husband’s comment was, “that was good, make it again”, high praise!!
