Cream cheese mixed with garlic, chives and parsley is now a mainstay in my recipe box! I substituted the apricot preserves for pineapple (cause that's what i had on hand). I also used 'real' bacon bits instead of making bacon (lazy!). This was a marvelous chicken recipe that we will keep on hand always.
My original recipe did not have the bbq sauce instructions, it's fantastic!!!! I opted to use spread w/cream chives and onion and just sprinkled garlic powder onto the spread, and I also used real bacon bits from a glass jar (cheater that I am)
The chicken came out moist. I seasoned the chicken with S&P and omitted the bacon.I went a little heavy on the glaze for more flavor. The only thing was that some of the creamcheese mixture leaked out. But it was still a good dish.
Kids didn't like it either. Odd mix of flavors
My husband and I love this recipe! The first time was great. The second time I made this, I did not have all the ingredients. I changed fresh parsley for 1/2 tbsp of dried parsley, omitted the bacon, and switched apricot for orange marmalade. I almost want to say these changes made it even better. Regardless, this is an excellent recipe and we will be making this again and again.
LOVED this chicken dish. I cooked it in foil on the bbq for about 30 minutes and it was perfect...juicy and full of flavor. My only issue was that I had thick pieces of chicken breast and didn't pound it flat enough to properly roll it. Regardless, the flavors were excellent. Will definitely make again.
This was a let down. The cream cheese mix didn't mesh with the barbeque mix. Plus i used hot pepper jelly instead of hot pepper sauce thinking that the sweet and cheesy combination would be delicious, but boy was I wrong. Disappointment.
This was the WORST meal i have ever had.
This recipe is excellent on the grill. I stuff mine with cream cheese and jalapenos and then wrap with bacon and season. While grilling I baste with regular kraft bbq sauce. It is so juicy and flavorful. My 2 year old daughter loves these.
Everyone loved this!! I made it with cream corn and carrots both recipes on here!!
