Tasty, easy and gorgeous! The Cool-whip/chocolate looked like a disaster at first, but I kept stirring and it turned out beautifully, like a $$ ganache! Used an Oreo store-bought crust to save time and effort. Reduced ingredients to fit the pie crust (Very easy to adjust ingredients.) Made bottom layer of chocolate ice cream w/Peanut butter and used peanuts and Reese's to separate layers. Topped with chopped Reese's and nuts. Was nice and rich, and a big hit for an anniversary dessert. Hubs loved it!
I made this for my husbands birthday party and it was so delish! I would use a little more butter to keep those crumbs together, and i made it with Haagen Daz vanila so it was so extra delish! Great for a larger group!
Just made this tonight for the first time and it was SO AMAZING my whole family loved it and it was so easy and I'm saying this as an 18 yr old ;]. I'll totally be making this again. Tastes like a frozen snickers bar enjoy!
I bought this to a house warming party. Everyone LOVED it!!!
I too had problems with the chocolate/cool whip. It wasn't enough to cover all of it and it just didn't turn out like I had hoped. It's in the freezer right now, so I haven't had the time to try it yet, but once I do I'll change the stars.
I had trouble with the frosting-cool whip and chocolate. It was hard to spread and it seemed like there wasn't enough for the dessert. Any suggestions?
OMG! This was super easy, and oh sooo good. This dessert can be made ahead, stored until you need to impress someone with dessert! Or just for a quick treat. I will be making this again, and may even mix it up a bit by trying different flavors of cookies and ice cream...look out hips!
I made this last weekend. It was a huge hit! Everyone loved it (adults and children). It was easy to make too.
I made this dessert for my card club. When I started melting the chocolate and Cool Whip, I couldn't believe that it would set. It got raves all around. I've made it for two other gatherings since, and everyone loves it, even those who say they don't like peanut butter! To make me feel less guilty, I used a fat-free butter spray instead of butter and reduced fat Oreos, to make the crust. I used fat-free ice cream and reduced fat chunky peanut butter. Because I prefer almonds, that's what I put on top. This is truly delicious!!!!
Made this for Father's Day and everyone loved it! I substituted chocolate chips for the Baker's Chocolate (because that's what I had) and it turned out great!
