This is an easy, very tasty appetizer. I wish Vidalia onions were available year around in Michigan.

I am from Vidalia...this is too easy and soooooo good. It will easily become my go-to party side. I served it with tortillas and it was gone :)

I have made this receipe for several years and it is always a hit! Instead I use 1 cup parmeasean cheese, 2 cups shredded swiss cheese and a block of cream cheese with 1 cup of mayo and the onion. Very good!

WONDERFUL recipe! A great appetizer, many people thought it was a potato casserole or hash brown casserole at first and were eating it by itself and loved it. I highly recommend doubling the recipe for any time of potluck.

I absolutely love onions . But this just didn't do it for me. The taste was just off. I followed the directions exactly. I guess different strokes for different folks :)

This recipe is great, very easy and so good. We had it on the cocktail rye bread and it was fantasic.

I never actually got to try it. Made it for Thanksgiving, but had several requests for the recipe.

I thought the recipe sounded great. However, I made this for my family and nobody liked it. It had oil floating on the top of it. I stirred the dip and oil rose to the top again. That was a turn off to my family. They each tried it, but didn't go back for more. It went in the trash.
