Good recipe. Except for the sodium content - that is NOT healthy. I liked the idea of a crumbled peice of turkey bacon on top - that and using no salt added tomato paste really cut down the sodium and you can't tell the difference!

Have made this recipe for over 30 years. It's always a hit. Use your imagination and add pepperoni with or without the bacon, You can substitute different sausages and don't be afraid to add different spices. This recipe is hard to ruin.

Came out great- substituted 5 spicy italian sausage links for bacon. Threw in a little extra red pepper flakes and added dried basil to the tomato mixture.

Adjusted recipe to make for gourmet 2 yr old grandson who has given up on meat for the moment. This was a hit! Would prefer oz weight on pasta to make substitution easier. Used 8 oz mini fusilli, doubled bacon, used only one 15 oz can petite diced low sodium tomatoes then added 2 cups prepared veggie pasta sauce and omitted tomato paste, reduced onion and garlic a bit. The crushed red pepper was just enough for our taste. Adults liked this too so will add to our recipe box. Thanks for a tasty recipe idea!

There's so little bacon in this that you can't taste it. There aren't enough drippings to add any flavor. Basically noodles and tomatoes. To add more bacon would probably help but then it wouldn't be a healthy recipe. Won't be making again.

great for your wallet and your waistline if you use turkey bacon and lowfat cheese!

The bacon flavor wasn't really very strong and I felt the recipe would have tasted the same with or without it.

This recipe was great! I would definitely add like 6 pieces of bacon

This was SO GOOD! The flavor was fantastic and we could not get enough. Next time I will add another slice of bacon or two, but no other changes, AWESOME!
