I made it into a philly steak Foldover, I used a cheap steak slicked it in long strips fried with mushrooms, green pepper, and onions and just used some A1 and beer. Wonderful my household will be eating this over and over.
I made this today as written with the exception of using a pre-made refrigerated pie crust. It's very good and it's easy to make. I will definitely make again but will cut back to 1/2 an onion. Thanks for the recipe!
I made this recipe with some changes. I sautaid some onions, mushrooms, charbroiled peppers added cooked chicken and sliced olives and moistened with some picante sauce, with cheddar and mozzoreli cheese on top, I think the possiblitities for this recipe are endless
As with most recipes, it's only a suggestion…make it your own with variations. I used chorizo and Mexican spices with lots of cheddar/Mexican mixed cheese along with black beans green peppers and lots more onions as well as jalapeno peppers.
I made this but changed it up b/c I hate the sweetness of A-1. It was ok. Also made it using pre-made pie crust, a can of chili, frozen hash brown potatoes and topped it with cheddar cheese...and it turned out very good. I like the concept and will use the 'foldover' idea for many other fillings.
I added green pepper and used canned corn-the filling was good, can add variations. The baking mix crust was to thick/dry. Next time would use crescent rolls or pre-made pie crust. Will try again using different crust.
It was ok but not a "make-again".
a good recipe - I just need more practice to make it better for our family and make it more easily
Easy to make. Not a real big hit at my house. Husband said filling reminded him of sloppy joes. I used salsa with a dash of ketchup and A1. I make my own pizza dough and that turned out great. Won't be making anytime soon, but may try later with a few twists.
Kids didn't like it; I do have a similar recipe that everyone does like so I wouldn't make this one again. Easy to make though.
