This was well liked by my husband. The cream cheese does not come in an 8-oz tub in our market - just 12 oz. I used Chunky Cinnamon Bread from our bakery and that worked just great. I also added a dash of salt and some vanilla to the egg mixture. The recipe makes no mention of cutting the "sandwiches" in half but that must be what is intended if it makes 8 servings. I used premium strawberry pie filling for the fruit topping.

Very easy to make and tastes great. Definitely will be making it again! A nice alternative to the usual egg/meat/bread casseroles that our families tend to make.

My entire family enjoyed this breakfast. The bread I can buy at my store, won't fit into an 8x8 pan like the instructions say, so I used a larger pan to fit my eight slices of bread. There is a lot of filling so some, who are not as crazy about cream cheese, may need to use less. Overall, a great baked french toast recipe/

Great taste, easy to make but too much cream cheese in the center for our family. Will use less next time.

This french toast bake was outstanding; made it for Christmas morning; would like to try it with cranberry-orange bread as well. Very easy and reheated nicely the next morning.
