I thought this tasted great, but it was a bit too salty for me. Next time I make it, I'll be omitting a lot of the salt. I made sure to get rather lean short ribs, so I didn't have the same problem others did with the amount of fat in the sauce. I also used a light sour cream instead of full-fat, so it was a bit thin, but I let it sit for a while and it thickened. Also added extra garlic, which helped boost the flavor.

Mediocre at best. This dish needs a lot more flavor, the sauce it too thin, and honestly, it's ugly. If I make this again, I would add a lot more garlic, seasoning salt and Tobasco sauce. I would also serve it with mashed potatoes.

I did not trim the fat off of the short ribs, because it did not say to in the recipe. It was laden with fat and I had to take numerous steps to save the dish. I would be interested in trying it again with trimming the fat.

If I make this again I will add more spices, I thought it was a little bland and the sauce too thin. Good enough though to want to tweak it for next time.

Very tasty. We love mushrooms, so I will put more in next time I make it. The smoked paprika adds a rich flavor. Good stuff!

This recipe took a bit of prep time the night before so I could dump all the ingredients into the slow-cooker in the morning before I left for work but it was SO WORTH IT! I LOVED IT!
