Very good recipe for pot roast and very simple. Boyfriend begs for this one all the time so it's definitely a winner! Love the tang from the a-1 and the onion-mushroom soup

This was very good. Almost like Mom used to make. So easy.

BRAVO! This was so delish! My hubby couldn't stop eating.lol.The key ingredient is definetly the A1 steak sauce.

Loved it! I took the advice of some of the other reviews and made it with BBQ sauce instead of A-1 and it was delicious. I also let it cook a bit longer because I was at work and the meet was so tender.

Used a combination of diet root beer soda and water for the liquid. The resulting pot roast was just great!

I'm by no means an expert chef, I'm actually just starting to get into cooking. This is the first time I have actually used a crock pot! This recipe was so easy and it came out so delicious! My fiance loved it, he couldn't stop eating it! We ate the whole thing in two days!

Didn't care for the A-1 at all, seems like that is all we could taste. We like more gravy so I added beef broth as well as the water and also celery and a tomato. I always add a bay leaf but resisted this time, trying to keep close to your receipe. Next time gets the bay leaf and no A-1.

I have a very similar recipie, the only difference is I didn't use the steak sauce. Very seldom have leftovers. It's usually only enough for one or two sandwiches if I do. Will try it with the A1 next time.

Since I used a three pound chuck roast instead of a 2 1/2 lb I upped the water to one cup instead of a 1/2 cup and used 5 ounces of A1 sauce instead of 4 ounces. Everything else I did exactly as the recipe was written. The flavor was very odd and both my husband and myself like A1 sauce and onion soup mix but the flavor was a little off. We finally added a bit of salt and pepper and that didn't help it taste any better. I made this in my slow cooker on low for a little over nine hours. It's not bad it's just that it's not good. After all the good reviews I was so hoping it would taste good because the house smelled wonderful all while it was cooking.
