Creamy Chicken Pomodoro

Cheese lover? Us too. So we simmered chicken in a cream-cheese-and-garlic sauce before adding mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parm. A zing of crushed red pepper adds a kick.

What You Need

Tbsp. olive oil, divided

small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/2 lb.)

cloves garlic, minced

1/4

tsp. crushed red pepper

can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed

cups penne pasta, uncooked

cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA

Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Tbsp. chopped fresh basil

Make It

HEAT 1 Tbsp. oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook 3 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides. Transfer to plate.

ADD remaining oil to skillet. Stir in garlic and red pepper; cook and stir 30 sec. Add tomatoes and cream cheese; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until cream cheese is melted and sauce is well blended. Return chicken to skillet along with any meat juices; cover. Simmer 8 to 10 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF). Meanwhile, cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.

SPRINKLE chicken with cheeses and basil. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, 2 to 3 min. or until mozzarella is melted. Serve over drained pasta.

Prepare using KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.

Serving Suggestion

For added color and texture, serve with a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Lite Dressing.

Awesome recipe! I used chicken tenders just took cook a little more quickly. Great taste, family loved it!

Used fat free cream cheese, added some fresh spinach, pine nuts and roasted red peppers. It was amazing. Boyfriend said he wants it for his birthday.

I love this meal because it is simple and quick to make. My little one loves it. When it's just my husband and I, we use Hot Rotel in place of regular canned tomatoes. We love spicy food so we love the variation.

I followed the basics of the recipe but added mushrooms and peas. Also used Philly Cooking Creme instead of the cream cheese. Turned out really yummy.. even my 4 year old liked the sauce.

If you are feeding a bigger family I suggest doubling atleast the sauce and pasta...other than that awesome dish!!!!

This recipe did not have any flavor to it. I would NEVER make it again.

Was skeptical a first being that there wasnt that many comments,but it was actually pretty good. Would have preferred to have more sauce to put over my noodles. Its a keeper!
