Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie recipe

Great-grandma had to spend hours to make her version of this classic. You? Just under an hour. And it's just as creamy, hot and delicious as the original.

OMG! So good and so easy. My husband and I loved it so much I had to make it again two days later. Cooking creams are the best!
I don't think it would have been as good if I didn't make changes. I added 8 oz. of fresh mushrooms and boiled the chicken with garlic, salt, and pepper. I still prefer my usual chicken pot recipe because this one was somewhat bland. Maybe I'll add some cheese next time.
Quick and easy, crust came out very well on the top, kind of undercooked along the sides and bottom, may pre-bake the bottom slightly before putting in the filling. Will salt and pepper the chicken next time.
Really good the way recipe is. I would however add some extra herbs the next time. It did have good flavor, but a bit of a boost would help. I also think it would be good served over pasta or rice as well.
I forgot to buy pie crust so I made some home made. For the veggies I used carrots, peas, and potatoes. It turned out very good. It is not that great as left overs though. This would be a great recipe for someone not feeling well.
This was a good quick easy recipe. I prefer more saucy chicken broth flavor. It was good but I will try to find something that better fits my taste.
This was very easy to make and very good. I doubled the veggies and added a can of cream of mushroom soup and used regular cream cheese. It was very tasty and will make it again.
I love chicken pot pie and pride myself on making a very good pie. I decided to try this recipe because it was so simple. I thought it was terrible. It didn't taste like chicken pot pie at all. The garlic in the creme was too strong and overpowering. It was pretty bland aside from the garlic taste. Thumbs down.
This was not that good...I would have to say below average for a chicken pot pie. I thought I'd try it out because I bought the cooking cream. On a scale of 1 to 10 for chicken pot pies, this was a 3. I used a rotisserie chicken to save time. It was definitely quick and very easy. However, very dry and bland...NO flavor. I will stick to my own recipe for chicken pot pie.
1st time making Chicken Pot Pie this recipe is a keeper! To thaw vegetables put in collinder & run warm water over. I covered crust with aluminum foil & cooked 10 minutes longer. Next time I'll use a little seasoning on chicken also.
