My family makes a stiff banana pudding with a recipe similar to this. I decided to go for a different flavor, lime, and followed this recipe. Since we use jello puddings in the other pudding, we thought jello gelatin wouldn't put the recipe too far of the mark. We were wrong! We understood it would be firmer. Despite all the creamy ingredients in this recipe, the final product was VERY gelatinous, not creamy. That said, it was tasty, pretty green gelatin but not the consistency that we were going for.
