this was pretty good. I did add some more salt, pepper and some minced onion based on previous reviews. Not quite worth the effort when I could just cook some chicken, cook some squash and make some pasta.
A few minor changes- it was wonderful! I sautéed the orzo in butter first and then added the cubed chicken, a 1 1/4 c of water (chicken broth would have been even better)all of the cream cheese and veggies. It was a hit!
I couldn't find orzo or Italian herb cooking cream at my store so I used vegetable rotini & Creamy Pesto instead. The tub of cooking creme wasn't enough & I was in a pinch so I added a little milk. It still came out very good. Loved the squashes with it. Will definitely try again & hopefully I can find those 2 ingredients.
As many other people commented, this dish was quite bland for me. I followed the directions as instructed. Thankfully I read the reviews before making this. I added some Parmesan cheese before serving which gave a bit of flavor. I also added some salt and pepper. Next time I will drain the veggies after cooking. I think the excess juices in the pan diluted the flavor of the creme. I might also consider adding onions with the squash. Some tinkering with the recipe will make it only better.
This recipe is one of the best I've tried in a long time. It is heaven in your mouth! I sprinkled a little mozzarella on top of the pasta mixture before adding chicken... very nice touch! I highly recommend everyone try this recipe!
This was good, but lacked a lot of flavor. Adding salt helped. I added mushrooms as well. If I were to make it again, I would almost double the cooking creme as I didn't think it was enough. This recipe makes A LOT so it was nice to have left-over for my husband throughout the week.
This one is definitely a keeper for my family. We love fresh mushrooms so I did add those and I cut up the chicken in bite size pieces. I had never tried orzo pasta before and we thought this was delicious.
I made this for my mom and my husband and they loved it. This is one of my favorite dishes now. Absolutely delicious.
I made this yesterday. It was alright. I would recommend to add salt and pepper afterwards its done. My husband liked it but I didn't.
This was a very good dish. The only thing I would do different the next time, is cut my chicken up instead of using the breast whole.
