Creamy Lemon Chicken Pasta

Cheesy, creamy and brightened by lemon zest, this chicken and penne pasta dish tastes amazing—but takes less than 40 minutes to make!

What You Need

cups penne pasta, uncooked

Tbsp. oil

cup chopped onions

cloves garlic, minced

1-1/2

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

oz. (3/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

chicken bouillon cube

Zest and juice from 1 large lemon

1/4

cup chopped fresh parsley

cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA

Make It

COOK pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt.

MEANWHILE, heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic; cook 1 min. Add half the chicken; cook 2 min. or until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Remove from skillet; cover to keep warm. Repeat with remaining chicken; return all chicken to skillet.

DRAIN pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water. Mix reserved water with cream cheese and bouillon until well blended. Add to chicken with lemon zest; mix well. Cover; cook on low heat 5 min. or until chicken is done. Stir in pasta, lemon juice and parsley; cook; uncovered, 1 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently. Stir in cheese.

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

Prepare using your favorite pasta shape, such as rotini, fusilli. farfalle (bow-tie pasta) or elbow macaroni.

For Saucier Pasta

If you prefer a thinner sauce, reserve 3/4 cup of the pasta cooking water; use as directed.

I tried this recipe tonight for my family, including a 6 year-old and an 11 year-old and they cleaned their plates! I added salt and pepper to chicken while it cooked. I used the lomon herb cooking creme from philadelphia cream cheese,a nd added frozen peas to the sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Good stuff! Made it for a group and everyone loved it. I didn't see a need to change anything about it other than seasoning the chicken with a bit of salt and pepper during cooking.

My husband love this. I used a small lemon and the juice from it and thought it had a great flavor

I made this recipe last night! & everyone LOVED IT!!!! There was absolutely none left over! The only thing i switched was adding only the lemon zest, because from that you could taste a lot of the lemon flavor, but add as you please! Once again DELICIOUS:)!!!

Delicious, but I would suggest not using a large lemon because ours was big and the lemon flavor was way too much. Next time I make it, I will use about a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice!

Family loved it. Really filling
