What You Need

1-1/2

lb. lean ground beef

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

cup water

onion, finely chopped, divided

tsp. oil, divided

pkg. (8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms

can (14.5 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth

1/4

cup PHILADELPHIA Original Cooking Creme

Make It

MIX meat, stuffing mix, water and 1/3 cup onions until well blended. Shape into 6 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.

HEAT 1 tsp. oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add patties; cook 2 to 3 min. on each side or until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet; cover to keep warm. Add remaining oil, onions and mushrooms to skillet; cook 3 to 5 min. or until vegetables are tender, stirring frequently.

ADD broth to skillet. Bring to simmer. Add meat patties; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 13 to 15 min. or until done (160ºF), turning occasionally. Transfer burgers to serving plate, reserving drippings in pan; cover burgers to keep warm.

ADD cooking creme to drippings in skillet; cook and stir on low heat 2 min. or until sauce is well blended. Spoon over burgers.

Serve with hot cooked egg noodles and a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Dressing.

Note

If your skillet is not large enough to brown all 6 patties at once, brown them in 2 batches. Then return all 6 patties to skillet with vegetables and broth to complete cooking, overlapping slightly if needed.

After reading reviews saying recipe was bland, I added onions, garlic, and mushrooms to patties and flour to sauce to thicken. Picky eater husband loved it.

The sauce was VERY thin, I ended up adding 1/4 cup of flour to thicken. Ended up adding salt and pepper, overall pretty good! A little bit of work.

It was ok Lacked flavor and we were not to crazy about the stuffing taste With a few alterations, I would try it again

I rated it 4 stars vs 5 stars just because it was a fair amount of work for a basic meal for the family. Both my husband and myself thought it was very good. I took some of the other suggestions in the reviews. I added 1 egg white, cut back the water to 3/4 cup, added 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and made 10 smaller patties. They held together well. Also used the entire carton of cooking creme in the sauce and added 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken it. With these changes it was very good.

Loved it! Sauce was very thin but good over the steaks and bread. We even topped the steaks with mashed potatoes... mmmmmm mm

This was ok, but the patties were a little bland from being simmered. If I made it again I would add more seasoning or cook the patties seperately from the sauce.

This was so yummy~ A keeper~ Next time I will double the sauce and probably triple the recipe.
