This was easy to make but lacked flavor. Will probably try using barbecue sauce instead of ketchup and mustard.

I've made this recipe a few times now. I doubled the amount of sharp Cheddar and used maybe 5 cups of Tater Tots. I let it rest for about 5 mins and then drizzled a mixture of 1/2 cup home made mayo and 1/4 cup ketchup over the potatoes then topped it with 1 large tomato chopped, some shredded Romaine. It tastes like a bacon cheese burger with fries minus the bun. However it makes 4 realistic size portions not 8.

Love the tang of the mustard. Makes a nice change from typical tater tot casserole. Anyone up for trying it with barbecue sauce instead of ketchup and mustard?

I wish there was a way to keep the cheese from drying! I love these roasted potato recipes... I have made several w/different types of meat, all with the same result, dried out cheese. It's not very appetizing once it cools. Any ideas?

Very good. Only difference I would make the next time is instead of layering everything, I would mix it all together except the tater tots. I'd still put them on top. It was like a bite of hamburger, a bite of cheese. I think it would be better all mixed together. But overall very yummy!

Very Good meal! I added Worcester sauce and extra mustard and ketchup to the meat.I used shredded American instead of cheddar. Next time, I'm going to use Onion rings instead of Tater tots and I served crescent rolls with it. Delish!
