This was a very easy recipe. I turned it into a cake instead of cupcakes. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, but the icing is way too sweet. I wouldn't add that much sugar next time, it doesn't need it. But it did taste like carrot cake!

You MUST give this recipe a try!! These were amazing....the cupcakes were moist and tasted just like pumpkin pie.....the icing was delicious and tasted like cinnamon roll icing. I WILL be making these again soon!!

Can anyone tell me what is exactly size of "1 pkg (2 layer size) spice cake mix"? I look at the box of cake mix but it didn't say 1 layer or 2 layer size. I would love to make this recipe. It looks good to me. Thanks

Not sure why, these turned out more like muffins than cupcakes. Then they fell. too flat! I used my kitchen aid which I normally do not use.

One of the best cupcakes I've ever made. Moist and tasty. Love the cinnamon in the frosting. Might try adding chopped walnuts to the batter next time. A definite keeper!!!

I made these for a work event. They were a huge hit. The cake is moist and delicious. The icing is excellent. I only used 1 tsp cinnamon instead of 1 1/2 tsp, but otherwise followed recipe exactly. I will definitely be making these again.
