This was a surprisingly great chili.I did add a minced garlic clove to it though. It was a bit thin for my taste, so I thickened it with a little cornstarch. I will probably cut back on the chicken broth next time. Will be making this again soon.
Chili was great, meat was very tender. I only added 1 can of tomatoes and not all the broth because I like my chili to be a little thicker.
I would say it's good but I probably won't make it but once a year. We added some more seasoning to it and beans because mine didn't thicken up like it looks in the picture.
Very easy recipe. I added another can of kidney beans to the recipe. It was a little more liquidy than I'm used to but it was very good. I also added cinnamon to the recipe. And other sides like pico de gallo & Challula hot sauce for more kick (to each serving).
It's a good start...however, our family (esp. my husband) prefers a thicker chili with more spice. Next time I'm planning on using less chicken broth, add garlic, add more chili and cumin powder, and perhaps some peppers.
