I have made this recipe twice now - once without the "cheesy" and once with the "cheesy." Either way, it is bland and pretty much tasteless though the chicken is very tender. The only good thing this recipe has going for it is that it is very easy to prepare!

I love this recipe. I tried it the first time by the directions now I change it up by adding different veggies, spices occasionally and different cuts of chicken. I love that it only takes 15 minutes to prep, then I am off to work. I don't use velveeta anymore due to it's high cost and subsitute Cheeze Whiz instead... it adds zing. :) The hubby loves it.

yuck... the sauce didn't thicken up and it broke so there was odd colored runny stuff on our chicken. Tried to eat just the chicken but it was really bland. We threw it out.

Turned out wonderful! My bunch loved it! I did however add Ms. Dash,Onion powder, and a 2 tbs of butter

My family loved this recipe! I did tweak it a little to suit our taste buds though and after reading some of the reviews about it being bland. In place of the green pepper I used 4 cloves of fresh garlice. I used boneless, skinless chicken tenders instead of the thighs and sprinkled with sea salt, pepper, and thyme. I upped the velveeta to 8oz. and added a little milk to make it a little creamier. And instead of pouring the sauce over top, I placed the chicken & potatoes back into the crockpot and mixed it all together. Definately a keeper!!

I would make this again although after hearing about how bland some found it I made a few changes: rather than the green pepper I sliced shallots and minced garlic and added that into the pot with a tiny bit of thyme (a few sprigs) I also seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper and smoked paprika before adding it into the slow cooker. There were no issues with flavor and my kids 7 & 11 ate it no problem!

No where NEAR enough liquid!! I put this in my slow cooker on low & went out for the day. When I got home less than 7 hours later, it was a burned dried up nasty mess. Threw thew the whole thing out & ordered pizza. Never again.

My family LOVED IT! Definately a keeper and the nice thing about this is you can tweek it to suit your flavor buds that day. I may try adding some "hot" to it next time.

Pretty good, easy recipe. I used chicken tenderloin instead of thighs. I thought the chicken was a little bland, definitely would add some seasoning to the chicken before cooking. Other than a little seasoning, it tasted pretty good and was real easy to make.
