I made this recipe yesterday afternoon and shared it with my friends. The only variation I had to make was the use of Great Northern beans as my grocery store did not carry the cannellini beans. It was wonderful!!! Everyone loved it and I am giving the recipe to my sister and my friend. Thank you for this recipe and thanks to other people who reviewed- I doubled the recipe and was happy I did!
Made it on a cold stormy day. It was awesome! Ate the leftovers over the next few days, while I was stuck inside waiting for snow clean-up!
This recipe was easy to do and tasted great. It was a little on the spicy side for me..but I don't like spicy. But shared with family and they said it was great! I made it as per the recipe. Would like to try it next time with ground beef.
I made as written only cooked it on the stovetop for about an hour. I added the cheese to the chili and served it with fat free sour cream. Great flavor and a nice change from typical spicy chili.
I have made this recipe several times, my entire family loves it. I usually use 3 cans of beans so it goes further. Other than that, this recipe is spot on.
This was only okay for me. Traditionally, in my house, chili is a bit more saucey. IF I was to ever make this again (chances are slim) I would add a can of tomato sauce.
Perfection! My family loved this recipe. I even made it for a large get together and they loved it as well. Very tasty. Variation: I served it over elbow noodles, delicious.
So flavorful and easy to make!
Made it today since it was so cold and windy outside. My husband said it was "excellent." Since green peppers give me a roaring case of indigestion, I used a yellow and a red pepper instead of the green pepper, and a can of Great Northern beans instead of the cannellini beans. Since there is "just the two of us," we have enough leftovers for tomorrow. Will definitely make it again, and maybe some hot crusty Italian bread to go with it. Very, very good recipe. Few ingredients and fast.
I made this for my in-laws and we all loved it. The store I went to didn't have italian pork sausage on hand, but they did happen to have italian chicken sausage so I used that. It was delicious! The only thing I didn't like about it - no leftovers!
