Made this on 11/7/11. I thought it was delicious. I did modify the recipe just a little bit. Since we like garlic and think it adds flavor, and especially since this is sort of an "Italian" recipe, I added three large cloves, coarsly chopped. When the sausage was basically all browned, I added put it in the skillet with the sausage for just two or three minutes, and then put it in the cooker. Having slightly mis-read the recipe, I actually combined the chopped onion with the peppers and stirred that whole mixture into the cooker along with the other ingredients. I figured it wouldn't make much difference in the final product. I also added more of the herbs than specified, like maybe a full teaspoon of each, because we like those flavors. My wife doesn't like hot stuff, but I added to my serving some cracked or crushed red pepper flakes. Again, I thought the whole thing tasted really good.
