This is a great and easy recipe t use up old apples that would soon be headed for the trash. I had an assortment of different apples and added some lemon juice to them to make them tart. I used a lemon cake mix too. I didn't have a bundt pan so I baked it in a 9 x 13 and it turned out great! Baked in 35 min. Needed to double the frosting though. Used lemon juice in the frosting instead of water. Next time I make it, I'm going to add chopped walnuts to it.

Excellent, easy and super moist cake. I added caramel sauce when I plated the servings, super Yummy!

This cake was nice and moist, but tasted too much like a cake mix. I also poured a little melted caramel over the top of the cake.

I made this cake for my husbands birthday. Everyone loved it. Very moist and yummy. This is definitely one I will make over and over again.

I would like to try this recipe. Does anyone know if I can substitute an angel food pan for baking the cake, since I don't have a bundt pan? Thank you.

Made this for treat day at work today -- is a big hit! I used a spice cake mix instead of the yellow cake mix and eliminated the cinnamon. I also made a quick Caramel Frosting. The cake is moist and flavorful -- yummy!

We loved this cake but I did make one small change. I substituted lemon pudding for vanilla. My husband said this really added the zing the cake needed.

I made this cake for our Halloween dinner party and everyone loved it! The cake was super moist and delicious. I will definately make it again.
