Super simple and BEST tasting crust ever! The dough was little tricky rolling out! I added vanilla to the icing too for an additional warm fall flavor!

As others have said, the crust was a little tricky to work with. I probably should've set my butter and cream cheese out to soften a little more so they blended better. Instead of the teaspoon of cinnamon, I used 1/2 cinnamon and 1/2 pumpkin pie spice. I thought it gave it a nice depth of flavor. Brought it to a friend's house and got rave reviews. All the guys had seconds. lol

Crust is one that I will use over and over again for other items. Fabulous recipe.

10 Apples ??? I used 8 large Granny Smith apples and it was too much. Make sure you slice the apples very thin - mine were still very firm after baking. I had no problem with the dough - I rolled it out between two sheets of parchment paper and it worked well. I will cut back on the sugar next time.

I made this for a bbq, and received nothing but raves about it. I had no problem with the crust, but I had left the cream cheese on the counter for a while before I used it. I adapted it somewhat, I used Becel instead of butter, and as a diabetic I used splenda instead of sugar. No icing on top, but it was delicious. Will definately make this again...and again..

I thought the ingredients were simple but the crust was very hard to work with...I would not change the crust as I feel it really made the bars. I sliced the apples very thin and did not layer them very thick and that helped the done-ness. Overall everyone raved about them and I passed the recipe around...
