When we were kids my mom would make this jam for us. Had enough in the freezer, not tha she is longer with us. I will have to start making it myself.

I have made this for about 12 years or more and when my children were little they really enjoyed it and some times they would put it over vanilla ice cream and it was good over that also.

I have made this for years now. I also put the berries in a blender for one minute with the sugar that way it is good for over ice cream and pan cakes. It is wonderful. This was is great for those bagel and cream cheese. I also give them away to new neighbors.

I've been making this recipe since we began picking our own strawberries in the 70's. It's easy and delicious and we enjoy it all year until we pick again! Now my son has his own family and we go strawberry picking together each June and spend a day making strawberry freezer jam together. It is something we all look forward to each year. The recipe is excellent.

My mother always had this jam in the freezer over the years until her death at age 90. She kept telling me how easy it was to make, and finally convinced me to do it. With each batch I make, I think of her all during the preparation and how much she enjoyed making and giving it away! It has proven to be a wonderful gift for "the person who has everything." I look for interesting containers, fill them with jam, make a personalized label for the recipient (usually cut with pinking shears from red & white checked paper or cloth and attached with wide see-through tape) and tie an interesting red and white ribbon around the top. It is always received as a very special gift.

My dad used to make this recipe every year and it was everyone's favorite. When he passed away, I picked up where he left off and kept the tradition going. One thing he said..."always use pure cane sugar". It really does taste much better.
