Such a great recipe for "comfort" during bad weather - or even good weather. I love mac and cheese.

My family loves this and it is so easy. It is always the first thing that comes to mind for pot lucks and family get togethers.

The reason I gave this a 5-star rating is because my kids loved it, they are 2 and 4-1/2 and are becoming hard to please. I didn't use a boxed dinner for this, though. I used my own macaroni and a combination of Velveeta cheese as well as some Kraft shredded that I had on hand. Sharp cheddar works well. I added slightly extra milk to it so that after it baked it would still be creamy and not dry. They ate it right up and wanted more.

Next time I am trying sausage in place of bacon, and Velveeta if not just shredded cheese and pasta.

I made using the box mac and cheese and using the velveeta recipe for mac and cheese and sooooo much better with the velveeta also i tried with pea's once and with broccoli and again sooooo much better with broccoli so for future recipe use velveeta cheese recipe and use broccoli instead of pea's and this now becomes a 5 star recipe

My picky husband did not like it at all. I love mac and cheese but I am not a fan of frozen green peas. Next time I was suggested to do just mac and cheese with bacon. The peas took away from the flavor.

This was SO easy and good! It's only me, my husband and my toddler, and there wasn't a bit left! A great way to make a meal and keep it simple. And I am sure you can do all sorts of variations. We will definitely make again!
