Summer holidays: Good for picnics, not so great for baking. Avoid heating up the kitchen by combining Jell-O Gelatin, cake and berries for a truly patriotic treat.

I adjusted this recipe to be diabetic-friendly, using Angel food cake, sugar free jello and sugar free cool whip. Diabetics and non all loved it!

My family LOVED this receipe it was easy to make and it tasted great. However I used the larger container of whipped cream.

Made for the 4th, and it is nice to look at. We didnt to much care for the pound cake, if I was to make again I would make with angel food cake so it would be moist. The jello didnt taste well with the pound cake either.

My family does not eat alot of desserts, so when I made this, I offered to give the neighbor half the cake. By the next day, my family had eaten it all! Great subsitutes - blackberries for the blueberries and angel food cake for the pound cake. My husband, who is arthritic, even went out and picked enough black berries so we could have this cake for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter!

Easy, did not have to use the oven on this "hot" July day. Fun to put together. Absolutely delicious. A big hit. Will be making this again. Will not wait until Flag Day or July 4th!!

I made this using strawberry and raspberry flavored jello and lite cool whip. I couldn't get fresh blueberries so I used frozen, it still turned out great but next time I would use fresh blueberries. It looked and tasted fabulous. Can't wait to make it again.

This was very easy to make & child had fun helping decorate to make the flag! Tastes very good. Not too sweet, very fruity! The only thing I would have to change about the recipe is to leave the gelatin mixture in fridge for about 20 minutes as opposed to 5 minutes.
