I found that if you let the two packets of jello get cold then add another it works good. I also used dewberries that we had in the freezer from that season instead of the blue berries to save money.

I've seen this lovely cake at two parties but it was all gone before I could have even one bite! SOOOO this year I made myself one. I was gone before I could have even one bite! Back to the Market! It was said to me that it was great! HA!

I make this every year and everyone always loves it. I use angel food cake instead and also fat free Cool Whip to make it even healthier. It tastes so light and sweet at the same time. Love it!

What a hit at the family cookout!!! Now I have "American Flag Cake" duty each time rather than deviled eggs!!! My kids loved it! It's fun for all ages - WTG Kraft!!!

I MADE THIS FOR A FRIEND THAT RETURNED FROM IRAQ FOR HIS TOUR OF DUTY AND IT WAS A HIT!!! I THEN TRIED A VARATION OF THIS RECIPIE. I MADE STRAWBERRY PRETZEL DESSERT AND INSTEAD OF SPREADING THE COOL WHIP ON THE ENTIRE TOP OF THE JELLO I TOOK A PIPING BAG AND PIPED STRIPED OF COOLWHIP AN LEFT THE RED JELLO SHOW THORUGH. YOU CAN DO EITHER BOTH WAYS LOOK GREAT!

The last time I made this recipe, I added whipped cream cheese with the cool whip and it turned out great!! I can't wait to make it again for the 4th this year!
