Summer holidays: Good for picnics, not so great for baking. Avoid heating up the kitchen by combining Jell-O Gelatin, cake and berries for a truly patriotic treat.

I made this dessert today, for our 4th of July celebration, It was a big hit my children had fun counting the stars(blueberries). The adults love it so much But I change it a bit instead of pound cake I made it with ice cream. Delicious, and stunning.

I made this the evening before a party. I think the video is misleading. The jello needs to sit for more than five minutes, based on your fridge. I found myself going to the store at midnight looking for more poundcake! The other thing, I used two containers of 8 0z coolwhip because I found one just covered the top a bit. I think my guest might want a little more. The overall appearance was great. I loved it too when it was all said and done!

EVERYONE LOVED THIS! I added more sugar to the topping, and I didn't put any blueberries in the filling so instead I doubled the amount of strawberries for the filling and chopped them up instead of slicing them, and beacuse I didn't use any blueberries in the filling I used blueberry pound cake for the base. It was delicious! :)

This was a wonderful recipe. I made it for a pot luck at work and everyone asked for the recipe. I made it with angel food cake instead of pound cake. It was very festive.

it took at least 15 min for the jello to thicken ,.not 5 min

This is one of the easiest deserts to make and something the whole family will enjoy. I made a few changes, I deleted the Cool Whip & made heavy whipping cream for more flavor. On the 2nd cake I used Cheese Cake for the topping & decorate per the recipe. I make the Canadian Flag as well. See Kraft.CA for further details. Any flag can be made. You can change the flavor of the jello and fruit as well.
