The cake is very good and tasty. However, the pudding mixed with 1/12 cups of milk seems too thick to spread well. I think I will use 2 cups of milk to get an easier spread.

Easy to make and tastes delicious! I thought it tasted better after it had time to sit in the fridge, which allowed the lemon pudding middlemto get cold.

I made this recipe for my family at Easter. Not much left after everyone had their fill. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe!!!!!!!! I made it in a 9X13 pan. Yes, would definitely make this again!!

It was a total disaster! I let the pudding set 5 min. and when I put it on cake, it flowed down sides. When I put the top cake on it kept sliding off and finally broke in half. I ended up making a trifle out of it which turned out pretty and tasted good. I don't know what went wrong but would like to know.

This is a favorite! Family & friends always request this dessert. Thank you, this recipe is so easy & not expensive, nor does it take up to much time. I keep these ingredients on hand all the time.

One of the reviews for this lemon cake asked if they could use lemon pie type filling instead of the lemon pudding. Yes! but you need to put a thin layer of icing on the bottom of each cake so that the lemong pie type filling will not saturate the cake. I feel the same way...Ineed a more tart type filling. I hope this helps!Giggi

This is a really great cake and doesn't last long with my family!!! Was wondering, has anyone made this using lemon pie filling? I like a tart flavor more than a little sweet. Thanks.

Very easy and very good. You have to be careful when buying lemon cake mixes, some are good, some have a funny chemical taste from the artificial flavor. I also put the cake layers in the fridge and got them cold before attempting to assemble. Make the pudding according to these directions, not the box. Has to be thick, you might even wait a little for the pudding to thicken before spreading. Thaw the cool whip, I had no problems.

Very easy to make, make sure to follow the directions listed via Kraft, do not use 2 cups milk per pudding pack (which I think some people did... which is why it may have been to messy). Its easy and good tasting.
