Easy Lemon Cake

Remember the last time you used just four ingredients to deliver a spectacular dessert? We didn't think so. Wow 'em tonight with a showstopper that's almost too easy.

What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) lemon cake mix

pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding

1-1/2

cups cold milk

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Make It

step 1

PREPARE cake batter and bake as directed on package for 2 (8- or 9-inch) round cake layers. Cool in pans 10 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

step 2

BEAT pudding mixes and milk with whisk 2 min. Immediately spread over tops of cakes.

step 3

STACK cake layers. Frost with COOL WHIP.

Variation

Bake cake in 13x9-inch pan; cool. Do not remove from pan. Spread cake with pudding mixture, then COOL WHIP.

This cake was a big hit with my family. Very easy to make. I made it a 2nd time for a bbq we went to and it was a huge hit!!

OK, I can never get my desserts to look like the photos, but his recipe was easy to make and came out almost perfect. I took it to the office for a potluck and it received rave reviews and was gone in no time. Now I have to make one for my family.

This cake was awesome!!!! I don't really care for cake and I probably ate the most! I was afraid that the lemon flavor was going to be overwhelming, but it was actually just right! Will definitely make this cake several more times to come!!!

This cake is the best. I made it for our family card club and everyone raved about it. I used sugar free pudding though. I will definitely make it again and again this summer!

I loved this cake; it was moist and the lemon filling was tangier than regular lemon pudding. I would suggest adding the whipped topping at the very last minute - mine slid off.
